QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education - Minimum of an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy
• License - Current Texas license in good standing
• Experience - Preferred - Minimum of one (1) year's experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
• Provides therapeutic treatments as planned, delegated and supervised by the Licensed Therapist.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes per agency policies and Board standards
• Guides the patient in the use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities for purpose of improving functions
• Advises, teaches and consults with the family and other agency personnel, as applicable
• Observes, record, and reports to the therapist, the patient’s reaction to treatment and changes in the patient’s condition
• Participates in discharge planning in conjunction with the therapist and family
• Participates in Agency and Community In-service programs
