Summary
The Development Database Administrator position is primarily responsible for assisting the Chief Development Officer to implement fund development activities for AbilityFirst.
The Development Database Administrator is responsible for the operational functions of the Development Department. This person has excellent project and peer management skills; has strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills; and works independently as well as on a team. This person will create, maintain, implement and/or support development systems that will enable the entire Development team to perform with greater efficiency and accountability. Specifically, the Development Database Administrator will support fundraising efforts through facilitating the maintenance and use of the centralized donor database; ensuring timely donor thanking and gift processing; supporting research efforts; and playing a key role in revenue management and planning.

Environment
The working environment for this position is an office-based position. The Development Database Administrator is expected to travel to off-site events, meet with staff, prospective donors and to other community sites on a periodic basis using his/her own vehicle and/or public transportation.
Physical activity
While performing this work, the Development Database Administrator will spend most of the time sitting, speaking, and listening. While working at events may have to lift up-to 20 pounds, squat, kneel, climb, stand, and walk for prolonged periods. Typically, these requirements may be met by a combination of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, nonprofit management, marketing, or related discipline, or its equivalent, and two years of responsible experience in nonprofit agency development functions.
The Development Database Administrator must be able to perform this job safely, without endangering the health or safety of him/herself or others.
