What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Technician position at Abrasive Technology?
3rd Shift (Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:30am)
Training on 2nd shift for 2-3 months.
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for all preventative maintenance tasks and repairs to facilities and manufacturing equipment in a timely and efficient manner to minimize production downtime.
Required qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
- Must have strong electrical skills.
- Must be a motivated self-starter and be able to work both independently and within a team in a production environment.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask.
- Must be able to read and follow machine schematics.
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs/procedures.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft programs.
- Ability to use conventional tool lathes, mills, grinders, and other equipment.
- Good communication skills are a must.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair up to 480-volt branch circuits such as plugs, receptacles, and switches.
- Actively troubleshoot maintenance-related issues to identify problems and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot CNC machines.
- Perform other duties as assigned which may include, but are not limited to, moving office furniture, salting or shoveling walkways, fixing hardware malfunctions, light painting, or plumbing and ensure the overall maintenance of the facility.
- Follow all company safety policies and practices.
Desired qualifications:
- Certified electrician.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment.
- Experience with CNC machines, Mazak experience preferred.
- Experience using MIG welding process and TIG welding experience a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to operate a forklift and various other types of lifts.
- Stand for 4 hours a day.
- Willingness to work around chemicals and use appropriate PPE.
