What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alarm Technician position at Absolute Systems LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to install and service security and fire alarms, cameras, access control, and other low voltage systems
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to learn, understand, and apply codes, rules, standards, and requirements to meet specifications per site
- Ability to read and interpret system layouts to meet customer needs
- Ability to follow building blueprints and scope of work
- Ability to perform inspection to ensure system is working properly
- Ability to complete all documentation requirements in a timely manner including but not limited to clear handwriting, correct spelling, signatures and pictures as applicable, and submitting completed and accurate documentation on time
- Must track inventory and orders correctly
- Respond to requests from supervisors and clients in a timely manner
- Out of area travel may be required
- Must have reliable transportation, trucks are preferable, including vehicle insurance; employee will be reimbursed for gas expenses
- Successfully complete background check
Qualifications
- Proficient in CCTV installation and maintenance
- Experience with fire alarm systems and low voltage wiring
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and cabling
- Familiarity with alarm system sales and security technologies
- Experience in field service and system design
Summary
As a Security Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various security systems, including burg/fire alarms, cctv adn access control. Reporting to the Security Systems Manager, your core skills in low voltage electrical work and cabling will be essential in ensuring optimal system performance. Additionally, your relevant experience in alarm system sales and telecommunications will support our mission to provide comprehensive security services to our clients.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
