What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Manager position at Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc.?
To provide 24-hour counseling/social work, advocacy, and hotline services to residential clients and their children serviced by the ACT organization ensuring they are according to the guidelines, laws, and minimum standards of Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc. and the State of Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Provides Counseling, social work services to residential clients and their children
- Crisis Intervention
- Shelter Admission
- Case Management
- Provides Individual and Group Counseling
- Answer Hotline
- Provide Safety Planning
- Assist Clients with Goal Setting and Housing Issues
- Shelter Departures
- Case File Closure
Education-Training-Experience: Bachelor's Degree, or two years of related experience and training.
SKILLS - ABILITIES:
Ability to give and receive both information and ideas clearly and accurately in both writing or verbally. Includes written communications and verbal explanations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as a cooperative member of a management team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:A Valid Florida Drivers License and Valid Auto Insurance is required. A copy of each will be maintained in personnel file.
Must be able to pass a drug test and Level 2 Background check.
