Abused Adult Resource Center (AARC)
Job Title: SAVE (Solutions for Alleviating Violent Encounters) Facilitator
Reports to: Executive Director
Time Requirement: Part-time * 3-5 hours/week * Non-Exempt
Location: Abused Adult Resource Center (off site location)
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The SAVE program addresses the complexities of intimate relationships and is a deliberate and purposeful intervention that challenges the beliefs behind the use of violence and abuse within relationships. This position works with the full-time staff and other group facilitators to deliver intervention groups to enhance victim safety and promote accountability.
GENERAL
· Assist in tracking individuals ordered to group through the court system.
· Facilitate weekly male domestic violence offender intervention group sessions.
· Maintain accurate, complete, and timely record of all contacts, according to established procedures.
· Maintain files for group participants, including weekly notes, call logs, and other relevant correspondence.
· Participate in additional trainings as time allows to enhance facilitation skills.
OTHER
· Commit to AARC’s organizational mission, vision, and operating philosophy.
· Attend 3-day virtual training either Sept 24-26, 2024 or Dec 3-5, 2024 to become a facilitator.
· Commit to facilitating weekly group meetings on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 pm-8:00 pm or Saturday mornings (time to be determined).
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree or pursuing a degree in a related field (i.e. criminal justice, psychology) with relevant experience is required.
· Awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault issues.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Must be willing to complete background checks.
· Ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual skills a plus but not a requirement.
· Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable with conflict resolution, detail oriented.
SALARY RANGE: Position pays $25/hour. No benefits.
