Position Summary
The family physician provides treatment to clients with eating disorders.
Location
- Atlanta Treatment Center (41 Perimeter Center E, Dunwoody GA)
- Our Atlanta facility is dedicated to providing exceptional, age-appropriate care for individuals of all ages experiencing a wide range of eating disorders. With specialized 24/7 inpatient and residential programs, we are uniquely equipped to meet the diverse needs of children, adolescents, and adults. Each program is thoughtfully designed to address the distinctive challenges faced by each age group, offering personalized care that supports recovery in a compassionate and healing environment.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday (8:00 am-5:00 pm)
- 0.8-1.0 FTE option
- On call rotation, as assigned.
How Family Physicians Empower Recovery
- Obtains medical history and conducts physical exams.
- Provides follow-up care.
- Provides basic general practice medicine.
- Obtains insurance authorizations.
- Provides client-centered care.
- Maintains strong interpersonal communication with clients, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Must be currently licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment (GA).
- Previous eating disorders experience is preferred, but not required.
- Current Basic Life Support certification required (American Heart Association) within 30 days from date of hire.
