Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and estimating, with expertise in negotiating contracts and managing budgets. Experience estimating federal projects is preferred. Your expertise will help us to maintain high-quality construction projects while ensuring timely delivery and cost control.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough site visits to gather information about construction projects, including risk, labor costs, materials, equipment, utility and topography requirements.
- Prepare detailed estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
- Utilize construction management software such as RSMeans and Bluebeam to create accurate and detailed estimates.
- Review and analyze construction contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with construction managers and project managers to develop comprehensive project plans and budgets.
- Negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers to ensure the best possible pricing and terms.
- Manage and control project costs to ensure profitability and meet budget targets.
- Provide ongoing cost control and monitoring to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
-Build and maintain relationships with other companies to pursue larger contracts.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience is required.
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating and construction management.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as RSMeans and Bluebeam.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Experience with project management and contract administration.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage and control project costs to ensure profitability and meet budget targets.
-Supervisory experience is required.
