Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
- Prepare and label specimens for laboratory testing
- Follow proper procedures for specimen collection and processing
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Provide excellent patient care and ensure patient comfort during the phlebotomy process
Experience:
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with vital signs measurement and interpretation
- Understanding of laboratory procedures and specimen handling
- Proficient in performing blood sampling techniques using aseptic technique
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate specimen collection and labeling
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
