ACDS, Inc., located in Plainview, Long Island, New York, a respected, well-known non-profit agency, is in search of qualified, talented and dedicated personnel who are interested in joining our team.

We are currently seeking Teacher Assistants / Teacher Aides and Substitute Teacher Assistants / Teacher Aides to assist classroom teachers in the day-to-day activities of a Preschool classroom for children with developmental delays. Great opportunity for College students and Education majors!

Teacher Assistants/Teacher Aides responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Instruction

· Classroom Management

· Diapering

· Potty-training

· Feeding

Teacher Assistants / Teacher Aides Requirements:

· Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

· Classroom experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs a plus.

*ACDS, Inc. compensates staff members for completion of the Teacher Assistant Certification through NYS, including costs and fees of achieving the certification while employed at ACDS, Inc.*

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
