This is a Safety-Sensitive Job for Purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.
Position Overview: Glaziers at ACE Glass are the primary persons responsible for the installation of aluminum framing systems, aluminum entrances, ACM panels, glass handrails, shower enclosures, mirrors, windows, doors, and other interior and exterior architectural items that might be sold and installed by the company.
Essential Job Functions
- Must be hard working, dependable, and punctual.
- Must be knowledgeable of basic safety and be able to assess hazards on a daily basis.
- Must be able to read a tape measure in fractions, down to 1/16”, add and subtract fractional measurements, and communicate those measurements to fellow workers verbally and in writing, (decimal conversion is a bonus).
- Must be able to use various hand tools and power tools properly in the performance of daily tasks.
- Must be familiar with safe and proper techniques for handling glass, aluminum extrusions and sheet goods.
- Must be able to read manufacturer’s installation instructions pertaining to our scope of work.
- Must possess strong communication, mathematical, and analytical skills.
- Must be able to plan ahead, prioritize tasks, and perform work efficiently in order to meet project deadlines.
Non-Essential Job Functions & Other Skills/Abilities
- Driving: driving record must be free of any DUI or DWI charges and have minimal moving violations.
- Familiarity with basic tech devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptop computers.
- Managing or directing small groups of people to complete projects while maintaining a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Must be able to properly use PPE items, safety glasses, and gloves as required.
- Must possess a complete tool kit as defined in the ACE Glass employment application.
- Must possess a current OSHA 10 Hour Construction certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must be capable of repeated walking, bending, lifting, and climbing movements throughout the course of the day.
- Must be able to exert up to 130 pounds of force occasionally; up to 80 pounds of force frequently, and up to 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
