Who We Are Seeking
If you have a passion for Teaching and a gift for inspiring young minds, we are looking for YOU! The Art Teacher provides support to meet each student's learning needs in accordance with PA Standards. In partnership with all staff, this role will assist and encourage each student to be a successful and continuous learner.
The Art Teacher will be responsible for:
- Develop and deliver effective PA standards-aligned lessons and assessments for use in the Cyber environment.
- Design interactive and motivational activities geared toward each individual student’s pace to reinforce student learning.
- Teach and record live lessons using an online classroom.
- Grade lesson submissions according to Achievement House protocol and maintain records in an online grade book.
- Communicate course expectations, class times, and upcoming events to students and parents/guardians.
- Develop and implement programs of individual and small group help sessions on a regular basis according to student need.
- Build and maintain positive relationships and communication among students, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with staff and parents/guardians to assist student’s achieve success.
- Participate as a proctor with state and local assessments such as PSSA and Keystone testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Type: Full-Time, 10-month, Exempt position
What Skills and Knowledge You Can Bring
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with students, parents/guardians, staff, and the community.
- A proven track record in the use of instructional methods, the ability to build professional relationships, solve problems, and plan collaboratively.
- Ability to be flexible to accommodate needs of students, parents/guardians, other teachers, and state-mandated requirements.
- Provides a positive and encouraging outlook and classroom environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and a PA Secondary (grades 7-12) Level I or Level II Art Certification is required.
- Prior experience teaching Art.
- Working in a Cyber School environment is a positive factor.
Required Certificates/Clearances: Child abuse and criminal background clearances are required, including Act 168 Disclosure/Release. Must also complete Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training. Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
Where You'd Be Located
We are located in Exton, PA. If over 90 minutes, you will work exclusively from home.
