Acme Fresh Market is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Produce Manager. The ideal candidate has previous retail produce experience and can provide daily support to the Produce Manager. Strong ability in produce merchandising, shrink management, ordering, and leading the produce team. Strong opportunity for advancement. This is an opportunity to obtain greater knowledge and challenge the driving of sales/profitability of the produce department at an Acme Fresh Market store.
Job Description: The Assistant Produce Manager is responsible for merchandising, shrink control, food safety, and contributing to the overall department performance. Specific job duties include but are not limited to:
1. Creating Highly Satisfied Customers by providing expert service and quality Produce products.
2. Building sales through creative displays and merchandising
3. Assisting the Produce Team in achieving DPR Sales, Labor, Shrink, and Supply budgets
4. Assisting the Produce Manager with ordering and inventory procedures
5. Understanding our information systems
6. Assuming the role of Produce Manager when he or she is on vacation
7. Maintaining Food Safety and HACCP requirements
8. Ability to mentor all Produce Associates within the Produce Department
This position has a $15.00 hourly rate.
