Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assigned tasks and components of projects with limited direction.
  • Conduct site surveys of existing spaces.
  • Prepare design and construction drawings.
  • Review code requirements for specific issues
  • Consult with manufacturers, research and evaluate materials.
  • Coordinate with engineering consultants, communicate project requirements and schedules, and review their drawings.
  • Research requirements for plan review submittals to the authorities having jurisdiction and preparing those submittals.
  • Assist in construction administration including preparing responses to RFIs and submittals, preparing sketches and addenda, visiting the construction site to gather information and/or preparing a punch list.
  • Maintain project files. Compile record CD file of drawings at project milestones. Document all communications with outside parties. Document and distribute project information to appropriate team members and outside parties
  • May direct junior team members on tasks.
  • Provide information, developmental support and training to team members. Utilize established office training processes and procedures designed to expand the knowledge and enhance the skills of the project team members.
  • Some travel required for site visits and meetings

Minimum Qualifications:

To succeed in this position, you must meet the following criteria:

Education:

  • Graduated with a degree in Architecture or a related program.
  • Graduated with a NAAB-Accredited degree in Architecture – preferred.

Experience/Skills/Abilities:

  • Five years of experience working under a licensed architect in a design or production role
  • Minimum of three years Revit project experience, actively working in Revit
  • Advanced level AutoCAD
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Bluebeam proficiency
  • Self-motivated with a high level of accountability
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Attention to detail and solid understanding of construction means and methods
  • Developing presentation and project management skills
  • Solid understanding of building code requirements
  • Can create technically sound building details
  • Understands client programs in order to translate them into appropriate building designs

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

Proficient in any of the following:

  • SketchUp
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Lumion (or other similar rendering software)
  • COMcheck

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. typically or optionally with the approval of your supervisor you may select a 4 ½ day flexible work week as workload and deadlines allow.

  • In person 4 days per week, remote as approved by supervisor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
