Job Title: Architectural Project Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support a variety of commercial projects by providing technical leadership and assisting with design/production tasks. Your responsibilities will include due diligence, creating exhibits, scheduling, and handling permitting processes.
Responsibilities
- Review work requirements to plan efficiently and avoid wasted effort, notifying the project lead of any conflicts.
- Perform site visits during the initial setup/survey of projects.
- Adhere to daily schedules and directions from the Job Captain/Project Manager/Project Director.
- Maintain a running list of project questions to be reviewed and answered by the project lead.
- Collaborate with other internal departments and teams as directed.
- Communicate daily with the project team.
- Manage project timelines and statuses.
- Handle program-specific requirements such as client-required online software.
- Assist in managing the lease exhibit process and communicate with the client.
- Assist in the Due Diligence process by filling out reports, contacting authorities, and compiling photo pages.
- Assist in preparing project specifications if requested.
- Maintain project cost files, client agreements, and consultant documents.
- Manage the permitting process, contact authorities on permit submittal processes, fill out permit forms, submit documents, and follow up on the status of permits.
- Maintain the submittal process by logging, tracking, and distributing submittals and shop drawings.
- Maintain the RFI process by logging, tracking, and distributing RFIs.
- Organize business development projects by tracking business leads and potential clients, and attend networking events as requested.
- Assist the team with miscellaneous requests, including administrative, project-specific, and general information.
- Ensure quality assurance by following office standards for preparing documents and correspondence, and checking your work for errors before releasing it for review.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of Architecture OR equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of experience working for an Architectural firm as a Job Captain or Project Coordinator.
- Proven track record of successful drawing/document organization, leadership skills, and productivity on a wide variety of project types with minimal supervision.
- Engaging personality and the ability to lead others.
- Advanced Revit and Autocad skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and strong communication skills.
- Willingness to visit sites periodically, including some overnight travel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with construction documents and plans.
- Proficiency in Revit and Autocad.
- Strong technical skills in architecture.
Work Environment
Our office is brand new, equipped with the latest technology, and currently houses a team of five people. We are growing rapidly and offer a relaxed, flexible, and employee-friendly work environment. The culture is that of a small company, with minimal bureaucracy and a supportive atmosphere. All new hires will receive brand new equipment and technology. The position offers opportunities to work on all aspects of a project from concept to completion, including CDs, CA, client relations, and collaboration with consulting engineers. We provide mentorship and materials to help our employees obtain their licenses. The role includes time and a half for overtime, six paid holidays, 80 hours of PTO accrued annually, and discretionary bonuses based on company performance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00
