Job Title: Electrical Designer

Job Description

This role is open due to a switch in vendors/suppliers, necessitating updates to drawings for the new vendor. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for reviewing cable drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure components are not obsolete and are accurate. They will then release the drawings into the Agile system, making necessary corrections. There are approximately 89 drawings that need to be updated. The candidate should have experience with cable drawings and higher-level assembly structuring, including creating cable numbers in the lifecycle management process. Strong experience in SolidWorks Electrical and the ability to assist in transitioning from AutoCAD to SolidWorks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and update cable drawings and BOM to ensure accuracy and component viability.
• Release updated drawings into the Agile system.
• Make necessary corrections to drawings.
• Update approximately 89 drawings.
• Experience with cable drawings and higher-level assembly structuring.
• Create cable numbers in lifecycle management.
• Assist in transitioning from AutoCAD to SolidWorks, if applicable.
• Help create a common library and vault in SolidWorks Electrical.

Work Environment

The work environment is within a medical device manufacturer, regulated by the FDA. The ideal candidate would be onsite 100% of the time, although a hybrid schedule may be considered.
