Our client is seeking field service technicians who are experienced with heavy industrial plant control systems. Selected applicants will be involved in field installations of plant controls, burner controls, silo load out controls, AC tank farm control and monitoring systems, and troubleshooting of all industrial plant control systems. Candidates will also be trained to calibrate and work on plant controls, dryer burners and hot oil heater burners. Candidates must have knowledge and experience using volt meter reading electric schematics and lock out tag out procedures.

This position requires 80% travel to customer sites. This travel will be within all of North America.

Responsibilities:

• Use electrical schematics and ladder logic diagrams to pull old controllers and install new ones
• Download PLC code into the system, check process control devices are interfaced, check sensors, circuits and VFD's
• Act as a Project Engineer/Project Manager for each new site
• Troubleshoot as need any issues with circuits and electrical control panel components
• Calibrate the 200 MM BTU burner controls that heat heavy industrial equipment in the plants

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 1 year of proven field experience
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service electrical controls
• Familiarity with standard hand and electrical tools and their applications
• Experience commissioning equipment in the field and 480v electrical
• Experience installing, troubleshooting and programming PLC controls, machine controls and/or process control devices (sensors and instrumentation)
• Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical circuits
• Ability to read ladder logic and control schematics
• Ability to layout benchmarks and points of reference
