Actalent is Hiring a Gis Technician Near Birmingham, AL
Description:
GIS Technician supporting mapping updates throughout services territory. In this role responsibilities can include but not limited to the following:- Working with Engineers to support map estimates to update within ArcMap. Maintaining data provided from distribution that follows the PD Technology standards. Providing support to Distribution Control Centers and Engineering as information's needed for field services.
Skills & Qualifications:
Qualification requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or similar field, or have a GIS Certificate, or at least 2 years of full time GIS work experience is required
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software required; experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software is a plus
• Competency with standard computer software, to include Microsoft Office suite is required
• Compatible working in a team environment is a necessity
• Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) is a plus
Note: Once the 2-3 months training period is completed , work may become mostly remote.
