Since 1957, we’ve assisted a wide array of populations throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, focusing on those generally underserved by traditional services including senior citizens, veterans, individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, individuals on the autism spectrum, and youths who have aged out of foster care.
To further our mission we are looking for a Maintenance Technician.
Position Overview:
Responsible for maintaining assigned properties in a manner that promotes the highest level of resident retention, market appeal and safety in accordance with the procedures of SHMS.
Job Responsibilities:
- Satisfies service requests per work orders generated by the Supervisor, Tenants, or Property Manager.
- Assists with apartment turnovers following company procedures.
- Perform grass-cutting/landscaping, snow removal, and cleaning as determined for the property.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of all equipment/tools/supplies at property.
- Pick up trash at property daily and every other weekend.
- Clean all property areas daily and if condition demands, e.g., spills, dirty lobby areas, etc.
- Attend all appropriate instructional classes at the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner, e.g., daily, weekly & monthly reporting forms, work orders, travel expenses.
Job Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry
- Monday- Friday with evening and weekend availability.
