What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Entry Clerk position at Action Personnel Inc?
Looking for a talented Logistics Clerk to to do filing and date entry. This will require the use multiple internal systems and carrier websites.
Must be able to maintain excel spreadsheets, that includes shipment details, status updates, and appointment and delivery times.
Good customer service, as you will need to reach out to our suppliers to request documentation and tracking information, as well as our receiving teams to confirm delivery and carriers when status of shipments are unclear.
Must understand the importance of due dates and must arrive by dates to ensure our product is delivering on time, and chase down reasons if it’s not going to.
- Ability to utilize Excel and ERP systems (Order Management Systems)
- Ability to utilize carrier websites and Outlook
- Ability to determine root cause issues regarding delays and mis-deliveries
- Key in data/add to provided data
- Ability to communicate delays to team to act on
- Sense of urgency
- Willingness to learn and open to feedback
- Microsoft Excel experience (middle – expert)
- Transportation/operations experience a plus
