Company Overview: ACZ Laboratories is a leading organization in environmental testing dedicated to innovation and excellence. We are seeking a skilled LIMS Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Job Summary: As a LIMS Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our LIMS applications. You will work closely with laboratory staff and quality assurance to understand their needs, implement software solutions, and ensure the smooth operation of the LIMS platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain LIMS applications, ensuring they meet user requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel and quality assurance to gather and analyze requirements for system improvements and new features.
- Design and implement database structures to support data management and retrieval.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, providing timely support to users.
- Conduct testing and validation of LIMS functionalities to ensure reliability and compliance.
- Create and maintain documentation for system processes, user guides, and training materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, quality assurance, and clients, to ensure seamless integration and performance of LIMS.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a LIMS Developer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of laboratory operations.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Visual Basic, or similar.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g. Access., SQL Developer) and Oracle database management is ideal.
- Familiarity with LIMS solutions (LabWare and Seedpak preferred)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in laboratory environments (e.g., EPA, NELAP) is desirable.
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
