Primary Responsibilities:
The federal government annually delivers information and services to over 400 million individuals, businesses, and organizations. Most public accesses government services online or (increasingly) through mobile applications. Ad Hoc works closely with government agencies to deliver digital services to the American people through technology and design.
A Principal Growth and Strategy (G&S) Executive is a multidimensional strategic leader who will identify and develop new digital services' business opportunities. The Principal G&S Executive will develop and execute a comprehensive digital service sales strategy that aligns with Ad Hoc's broader business goals and objectives.
Primary expectations of a Principal G&S Executive include:
- Successful track record of sales, selling systems integration, technology implementation, software and application development, or other relevant services.
- Significant business relationships with senior client executives and digital services partners (large businesses, mid-sized businesses, and small businesses) across the digital services community
- Demonstrated experience working with the U.S. Digital Services, digital services teams in federal agencies, or Digital Services Coalition members.
- Demonstrated experience teaming with large and small business partners - as both prime and subcontractor and understanding of relevant IDIQs, GWACs, and other contract vehicles
- An ability to gain access to and influence digital services' decision-makers at the highest levels in client organizations
- Self-starter able to independently leverage experience and existing relationships to drive new market growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to turn an understanding of deeply technical information into actionable strategies
- Strong presentation skills and experience with proposal orals
- Works closely with the Growth team to coordinate pursuit activities, track actions, and report on progress
- Supports, as needed, Requests for Information (RFI) responses and proposal activities for specific opportunities
- Attends industry events in the DC-area and beyond to build Ad Hoc brand awareness and build a professional network and reports out timely knowledge of the market
- Prepare reports, presentations, or spreadsheets to support data analysis
- Demonstrates sound research, writing, and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into recommendations and action, in addition to excellent written and verbal communication
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience
- Relevant years of experience may be substituted for education
- Progressive experience with CRM and opportunity tracking systems to keep all activities and opportunities up-to-date and accurate
- Primarily located in the Washington D.C-area.
- Awareness of the digital services landscape across federal agencies, including agencies that have developed in-house capacity to deliver digital services
- Understanding of federal policies, regulations, and procurement rules potentially impacting the way that federal agencies develop and deploy digital solutions
- In-depth understanding of select federal agency missions and goals
- Successful track record in selling IT services characterized by long sales cycles and significant dollar transactions
- Experience collaborating with agency-related advocacy groups or industry trade associations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with innovative business models like Joint Ventures (JVs), mentor-protege arrangements, SBIRs, etc. in the federal contracting market
- Experience working with Salesforce or another enterprise CRM tool(s) to manage and accelerate the sales cycle and accurately reflect the business forecast in their territory

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility.
