The Case Services Aide V – Family Time Coordinator position provides a variety of paraprofessional and supportive services to the Family Time Staff and the client population of the Children and Family Services Division. This position provides supportive services to families at high risk for abuse, neglect, and out-of-home placements. This position also provides support to and works collaboratively with our contracted partners who provide family time services.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Duties may consist of but are not limited to the following: Process and assign family time referrals generated by staff (this includes obtaining clarifying information from caseworkers and/or supervisors on referrals and making contact with parents/caregivers and child placement providers to arrange scheduling). Track visitation referrals submitted and accepted by contract providers and monitor for scheduling issues. Collaborate with caseworkers in the processing of family time referrals and assignments and join in problem solving on complex referral needs. Monitor and track all referrals through MANGO and other internal systems.Maintain and update tracking spreadsheets and run reports related to family time referrals for both internal and external providers. Make bi-weekly contact with contract providers and update referral acceptance eligibility. Coordinate and arrange timely visit sessions for the family time team (in-house and in the community, entering notes into Trails). Conduct supervised family time as needed for coverage, which includes documentation of the parent/child interaction and providing constructive feedback and parenting suggestions.Attend collaborative meetings with supervisor and family time team members to maintain/enhance working relationships with internal colleagues and contract providers. Attend supervision with direct supervisor to discuss programming needs, professional development and any other areas of need.Provide emergency transportation for children to and from visit sessions. Assist contract providers in 3rd party badge access to ACHSD family engagement area and maintain badge tracking spreadsheet. Make daily decisions to organize and prioritize numerous competing requests made by staff.Scribe for RED Teams.Assist with the upkeep and organization of items in the visitation area. Attend trainings to maintain and build skills and knowledge pertaining to family time, and work within child welfare.Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Experience: Three (3) years of full-time experience with extensive public contact in a service related field. Two years of college coursework completed in a human services related program is preferred. One year of prior experience in child welfare is strongly preferred.Education: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of appropriate coursework in behavioral sciences obtained at a college or university may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado Driver's License and automotive insurance.Background Check: Must pass a criminal (CBI) background checkSPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Willingness and ability to work extended hours prior to and/or after typical work hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to meet the needs of families and co-workers.This position is hybrid, with a minimum of 3 office days per week. Additional days would be required if necessary to meet programming needs. Utilize your personal vehicle to get to appointments in the local community and surrounding areas within Colorado.Spanish Speaking applicants are preferred and may be eligible for an additional incentive, based on use.
