Job Title: Airfield Electrical Engineer
Location: Columbus, Ohio, USA
Business Line: Providing active visual guidance, our solutions allow pilots to land, taxi and take off safely and efficiently
The opportunity....
The Airfield Electrical Engineer will play a key role in understanding, evaluating, and crafting project designs for visual aids and their associated civil and electrical infrastructure at airports.
You will make an impact by....
- Producing technical documentation and drawings, including compliance documents, technical specifications, design reports, and detailed layout plans
- Performing essential airside engineering calculations such as electrical power calculations, airfield lighting calculations (PAPI, aiming point, approach lighting), heat dissipation, structural calculations, etc.
- Creating and reviewing airfield layout drawings (airfield lighting, signs, marking, ducts, pits and cabling), installation detail drawings (adapted to the specific project requirements), electrical wiring schematic drawings as well as structural and fit-out drawings (manholes, duct banks and pits)
- Preparing airside infrastructure bills of quantities for bidding (pricing) and for execution
The talent we want to inspire has...
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE)
- 3-5 year of years related experience in airfield electrical infrastructure, with a specific focus on airfield visual aids
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2018 or higher, with a strong background in MS Office and MS Teams.
- US Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer or similar
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively in a multicultural setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of airfield project design processes
This would be a plus but not a must!
- Advanced proficiency in Spanish
- Familiarity with Autodesk Vault, REVIT, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD Civil 3D
