Job Summary:
The Operations Analyst reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for processing and balancing daily ACH files and preparing ACH related journal entries.
Key Responsibilities:
• ACH balancing of incoming files from the Federal Reserve Bank
• ACH debit origination processing and tracking
• ACH research, stop payments, government reclamations, and service pack testing
• Preparation and updating of ACH Procedure Book for auditors
• Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, journal entries, maintenance of subsidiary records and ACH entries
• Credit Union external payroll system balancing, recording journals and member payroll distribution
• Processing of automatic internal transfers
• Reconciles assigned monthly general ledger accounts, including Safe Deposit Box Inventory
• Processing and balancing of lockbox loan payment exceptions
• Processing of one time and recurring ACH credit card payments to PS
• Balancing of daily mobile deposits
• Other General Credit Union Accounting operational duties as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
Two-year College degree, bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 3-5 years of experience in ACH area
• Bank or credit union experience using core banking system (i.e. Symitar)
Skills:
• Microsoft Office, Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong problem solving/ research skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multitask environment
• Must be flexible and a strong team player
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Previous Financial Institution, credit union or banking environment experience preferred.
• Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) is a plus
