Talent Acquisition Specialist
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for assisting with various recruitment needs as listed below. The primary focus of this role is to evaluate candidates for job opportunities within an organization, acting as a liaison between the employer and potential employees to ensure a successful match in terms of skills, experience, and cultural fit. Point of contact for new hires to address questions and provide support during the offer stage to the onboarding and integration stage.
General Expectations and Responsibilities
- Actively recruit for specific positions as needed, with a focus on long-term fit.
- Partner with hiring managers to determine the needs for open positions.
- Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure timely candidate review and communication. Maintain appropriate status updates and notes for all applicants.
- Review applications to assess candidates' qualifications before screening interviews.
- Schedule and conduct initial screening interviews.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Manage the candidate experience from application through onboarding, ensuring a positive and seamless process.
- Use job descriptions and responsibilities to properly vet and converse with candidates.
- Conduct interviews in partnership with hiring managers.
- Provide prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
- Field employment phone calls and greet walk-ins. Provide applications and answer employment-related questions.
- Communicate with candidates to provide updates on application status and interview logistics.
- Schedule travel arrangements for current, new, and prospective employees.
- Build and maintain relationships with local hotels, realtors, and rental companies.
- Act as a liaison between ADF, educational institutions, and employment agencies.
- Coordinate start dates with integration, background checks, and drug screening for selected candidates.
- Facilitate onboarding for new hires, including paperwork, orientation, and training.
- Serve as a point of contact for new hires, addressing questions and providing support during onboarding.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the ATS and HRIS.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
- Represent the organization at job fairs and recruiting events.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition and recruitment.
- Be willing and able to cross-train and back up the Talent Team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Training, or Work Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalency.
- Talent Acquisition/Recruiting experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, DocuSign, Background Screening Platform, and HRIS software.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of EEOC Guidelines.
- Familiarity with federal and state discrimination laws.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand/walk and/or sit for several hours at a time.
- Ability to fully articulate shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist.
- Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 25lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
