Overview
Closing and Compliance Auditor
The Closing and Compliance Auditor performs a review of the loan package to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all underwriting guidelines. This typically includes documents such as the Note, Mortgage, Title work, Closing Disclosure, Loan Estimates, and a wide variety of disclosures prepared both at application and closing.
What you will do (Responsibilities)
Post Closing audit of loan closing package, to ensure closed loan meets all necessary requirements. Loan review is designed to incorporate compliance with federal and state guidelines, as well as FHA and VA requirements when applicable. A full TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) review is also required to ensure conformity with CFPB standards and practices.
Essential Job Functions and Requirements
· Compliance analysis of mortgage loan origination for adherence to federal regulations.
· Review of loans for compliance with ECOA, Fair Lending, and Reg B/Reg C.
· Complete and interpret High-Cost testing through third party programs.
· Ensure disclosures are complete, accurate, and compliant.
· Other job duties as assigned
What you will bring (Qualifications)
Required Education & Work Experience
At least one year of experience in a mortgage related field, such as Disclosing, Processing, Compliance, Doc Prep, or Title Prep. High School diploma/GED with preference to applicants with bachelor’s degree in finance or banking.
Required Skills & Abilities
· Working knowledge of TRID, RESPA, TILA and HMDA.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data entry.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to multitask and navigate several programs and applications at once.
· Expected to work independently to organize workflow and priorities.
· Must adhere to strict confidentiality and security policies to protect Non-Public Information.
