Job Title: Emerging Missions Senior Instructor, Joint Interoperability Division - Training Center (JID-TC)
Job Description: The JID-TC Missions Senior Instructor Manager is responsible for researching emerging technologies, missions, and techniques and procedures to assess applicability for addition to the JID-TC course curriculum. This position includes the following major duties:
- Conduct research into JID-TC Future Ops Directive (FOD) priorities to determine if a Front-End Analysis (FEA) is required.
- Establish liaison with related Joint and Service research and development organizations as directed by the government customer.
- Conduct Front-End Analysis IAW Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Manual (CJCSM) 3500.02 Joint Training Master Plan, CJCSM 3500.03 Joint Training Manual for the Armed Forces and CJCSM 3500.04 Universal Joint Task List procedures, and any other guidance documents as applicable. FEAs are used to determine training requirements for the inclusion of these items into the JID-TC curricula.
- Analyze and propose courses of action necessary for implementing emerging technologies and mission threads into existing curricula or through the addition of advanced courses of instruction or through use of online delivery methods.
- Use Instructional System Design principles to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate new curriculum based on DOTMLPF-P assessments.
- Provide instruction on emerging mission technologies and mission threads to current Joint Training courses.
- Participate in the exercise concept development process with exercise representatives to offer suggestions and tentative solutions to exercise programming/logistic support issues as well as recommending training objectives.
- Conduct liaison functions with service network design facilities (NDF) in order to grasp new design techniques and conventions.
- Observe test and evaluation exercises of and for emerging capabilities. Develop After Action Reports and make recommendations to the JID-TC leadership.
- Function as a MTN SME.
- Perform OPTASK LINK analysis to determine the impact new capabilities and systems will have on this foundation message and the JICO/JDN planning process.
- Perform leadership responsibilities as assigned by the Program Manager in support of contract management activities.
Work Locations: The work to be performed under this contract will be performed primarily at the JID-TC Facility located on Pope Army Airfield, NC. Performance could also be located at TDY sites worldwide.
Required Qualifications:
- Citizenship
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to effectively communicate in person or in writing with contract employees and US Government personnel
- Possess a current, SECRET level personnel security clearance
- Minimum of 10 years of DoD experience
- Minimum of 6 years of documented successful performance as a tactical data link or Joint Data Network SME; experience can be military, civilian, contractor, or a combination of the three
- Experience conducting research and analysis and drafting technical written products that provide a summary of the research and analysis and recommendations.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
