Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, aseptic techniques, and patient care practices within an outpatient office setting. The Surgical Assistant will work closely with an experienced skin cancer surgeon to assist with MOHS surgeries

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with aseptic techniques throughout the procedure.
• Prepare surgical rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
• Collect and document patient data accurately before, during, and after surgeries.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
• Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments post-procedure.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with operating room procedures, including knowledge of anatomy and basic life support techniques.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.25 - $27.82 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
