Job Overview
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work at our busy Otolaryngology Practice.
Description
- Providing health promotion, prevention, and treatments to patients
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as, allergic rhinitis, nasal congestion, sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media
- Prescribing medications when needed to ensure patient health and well-being
- Examine patients, diagnose illnesses and provide treatment
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Gather health histories, perform physical examinations and diagnostic procedures
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Dictate and document all patient interactions
- Notify collaborating physician about unusual or unexpected events or problems
- Effectively communicate with diverse populations, including physicians, employees, patients, and familie
Requirements
- Must hold current license/registration to practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information
- Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Degree
Job responsibilities that will be learned through our training process includes:
- Performing flexible fiberoptic nasopharyngeal and laryngoscopy examinations
- Removal of nasal foreign bodies
- Evaluation and treatment of uncomplicated nasal infections, allergic rhinitis, epistaxis, and sinusitis
- Evaluation and treatment of pharyngitis, salivary gland infections
- Evaluation of hoarseness and dysphasia
- Evaluation of neck masses/lymph nodes with consultation
- Initiate requests for imaging studies, allergy testing, labs, etc.
- Order laboratory, diet, and medications as per protocol.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
