Distribution Account Manager– Ingram Micro/D&H

The Role:

We are looking for our next team member to join the NA Channel sales team, reporting into the leader of the NA Distribution & VAR Business. This new role is customer-facing and will be responsible for building AMD’s distribution business in North America with Ingram Micro/D&H covering commercial client devices, servers, server components, and professional graphics. Driving business development by evangelizing AMD technology, building sales programs, enabling sales teams through training, and managing executive relationships are key expectations.

  • An established background and relationships with Ingram Micro/D&H, VARs, and OEMs (Dell, HPI, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo, etc)
  • Ability to influence and project-manage internal cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and sales skills
  • Proactive orientation, and highly motivated to exceed expectations
  • Collaborative & a standout colleague
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand Ingram Micro/D&H business goals and establish strategic business plans to drive adoption of AMD technologies by NA channel partners
  • Educate partners on AMD technologies and solutions; may be brought in by partners to help sell AMD technology in OEM products to end customers
  • Build and implement sales and marketing programs to grow AMD’s business within the channel
  • Lead executive relationships between Ingram Micro/D&H and AMD
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sell-in, sell-through, and sell-out growth
  • Deliver accurate forecasts, manage system & component inventory, and ensure business development activities result in pipeline growth
  • Be a strong advocate for the partner internally to AMD, reporting and resolving customer issues

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong background of success managing Ingram Micro/D&H
  • Effective Ingram Micro/D&H executive relationships

Academic Credentials:

Bachelor’s degree preferred
