Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Back Office Medical Assistant with a minimum of 1 year experience to join our healthcare team immediately. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position involves working with a new doctor part time, Monday, Wednesday and Friday in an outpatient setting. You must be able to travel between our Columbiana and Austintown locations (approximately 15 mins apart). Half of the day will be spent in Columbiana, the rest of the day Austintown where you will assist with various clinical tasks and provide exceptional patient service.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and surgical procedures.
- Take and record vital signs.
- Assist healthcare providers with drawing injections.
- Prepare patients by assisting with shoes.
- Provide medical administrative support, including managing patient records.
- Setup and prepare treatment rooms.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the back office area to ensure a safe environment.
- Educate and communicate with patients regarding their treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year previous experience required.
- Familiarity with patient service protocols and medical administrative systems.
- Knowledge of vital sign measurement techniques.
- Ability to perform basic clinical tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent patient care.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required.
- A driver's license is required as you must be able to travel between two locations, three days a week.
