Responsibilities

The Food Services Director/Executive Chef is responsible for the preparation and serving of all meals. The Food Service Director manages the food service production and delivery system, including purchase and inventory of food and supplies. The Food Service Director will ensure conformance with food quality, nutrition, and productivity standards. The Food Service Director will train, manage and supervise food service staff, practice time management techniques, and ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction

Works effectively with the facility leadership team top ensure success of the facility by completing the following

Core Job Duties

  • Direct the expenditure of the food service budget
  • Ensure that the food service operates within established budgetary guidelines
  • Assign, direct and supervise food service workers
  • Assist in the hiring, transfer, promotion, demotion, or dismissal of food service workers
  • Follow proper receiving, storage, and preparation techniques to ensure that all food items are maintained at a high quality until consumed
Other Required Tasks
  • Plan, implement, and review all menus
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
  • Prepare all local, state and accreditation reports as directed or required
  • Implement strategies to create an atmosphere that will attract and retain customers
  • Understand and implement safety procedures as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

COVID-19 Vaccination RequirementAdvanced Recovery Systems requires all employees who work in any facility or office to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, pregnancy, or religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated. 

  • High School diploma or equivalent or 3 years experience in Food Services 
  • Serv Safe Certification
  • Minimum one year in a supervisory position, or the full-time equivalent, as a food service supervisor in a health care facility in consultation with a dietitian; or trained and experienced in food service supervision and management through military service programs with experience as described above

  • Proficiency in building revenue and manage budget, including cost controls, with regards to food, beverage and labor.
  • Demonstrate the proficiency and knowledge to create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls and profit management.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching and managing performance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationship
