DIRECT HIRE | REGIONAL SALES MANAGER | REMOTE
The Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the Director of Sales and play a crucial role in driving business growth, with a focus on revenue generation. This position is responsible for managing the sales strategy within the assigned territory (likely west of the Mississippi River), emphasizing direct sales to maximize profitability and align with the company's vision and values. This is an individual contributor role offering products related to construction and engineering services.

Industrial sales or Business Development within relevant markets, such as municipal water / wastewater, fire protection, industrial water / wastewater, bioenergy, downstream / midstream oil and gas, or dry / liquid bulk handling
Anticipate $100-$120K base salary, BOE
Uncapped commissions / earnings

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the sales strategy targeting end users, integrators, OEMs, corporate accounts, contractors, and distributors.
Sales goals of $10M
Drive direct sales initiatives for all major projects.
Commit to understanding key markets and identifying long-term growth opportunities in the assigned region.
Investigate potential clients' logical and emotional buying motivations.
Build relationships with key influencers in the region, including engineers and contractors.
Engage in regional networking within key industry segments such as OEMs, contractors, EPC firms, engineering companies, and corporate accounts.
Provide regular updates on competitive landscape and market trends.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education, Qualifications, and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
5 years of proven experience in industrial sales or business development within relevant markets, such as municipal water / wastewater, fire protection, industrial water / wastewater, bioenergy, downstream / midstream oil and gas, or dry bulk handling.
Technical proficiency is essential.
Demonstrated experience managing long sales cycles (over 3 months).
Proven consultative sales skills.
Ability to grow sales through various routes to market directly to end users, contractors, and engineers is advantageous.
Strong desire for personal and professional growth.
Experience working in a growth-oriented organization with evolving goals and metrics.
Self-management skills for effective time and resource utilization in a home-office setting.
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
Strong interpersonal skills; capable of networking and selling to diverse stakeholders including owners, engineers, C-level executives, plant managers, and general contractors.
Experience delivering presentations to large audiences.
High proficiency in computer skills including email, MS Office, and MS Excel. Familiarity with CRM management tools (e.g., Salesforce, SAP) is preferred.
Work Environment and Travel
Position can be based anywhere within the region with convenient access to a major airport.
Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time as needed.
Regular automobile travel is required; overnight trips may involve several consecutive days of travel and commercial flights.
Ability to work independently in a home office environment.
