The role youll contribute :
Responsible for providing clinical nutrition services, including nutrition assessment, modified diet formulation, self-management training and nutrition intervention to patients / residents. Ensures patient satisfaction, quality care, regulatory agency compliance, and good public relations are achieved through the safe and efficient use of resources.
The HWC Clinical Dietitian works collaboratively with other departments within the HWC at FHWC and FHWC Dietary Services to plan and implement nutrition programs and services that meet the needs of the HWC and those served by the HWC.
The value youll bring to the team :
Assesses the nutritional status of neonates / infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and / or geriatric patient through documentation in the medical record. Uses parameters such as anthropometric measurements, visual assessment and interpretation of laboratory values.
Develops and revises a nutrition care plan based on information from the patient, medical record, family and health care team members.
Incorporates current evidence-based research into practice.
Adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state and DNV as evidenced by successful completion of surveys with no deficiencies.
Completes all required documentation, reports and logs in a timely, professional and thorough manner
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed :
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics upon hire
Florida Food Handlers Certification within 2 weeks of hire
Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration) upon hire
Current Florida State RD Licensure is required upon hire
Current American Heart Association BLS / AED certification required upon hire ( HWC only )
