In-house Instructor

AED Institute is looking for individuals who are passionate about saving lives and working with the community. We would love to have you join our growing team of CPR Instructors.

SCHEDULE : Weekdays, Weeknights, and Weekends

SHIFT: Flexible part-time shifts from 4 to 8 hours

PAY RATE: $45 per hour as lead, $25 per hour as assistant

TERRITORY: Oahu

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Teach CPR/AED/First Aid and BLS courses in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines.
• Ensure timely set-up and clean-up of classroom facility.
• Inspect and maintain training equipment, and report any loss or damage.
• Report when equipment needs repair / replacement.
• Ensure timely completion of reports and classroom rosters.
• Adapt your teaching approaches to the age, experience and ability of participants so they can meet course objectives.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have an outgoing personality and enjoy working with others.
• Clean Driving Record.
• Current CPR completion card.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross instructor--preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 25lbs (Ex. Lifting manikins for transport and set up of classes)
• Ability to kneel for an extended period (Ex. Helping student with manikin on floor)
• Ability to push 10lbs. (Ex. Demonstration of CPR skills)
• Ability to stand for an extended period (Ex. During presentation of curriculum and walk around to observe students)
