AEGIS is looking to hire experienced security guards with long term experience in a school setting, individuals who have served as directors of security, and previous school administrators, military, and or security managers for student protection. School Resources Officers (SROs) encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, Monday - Friday position within additional opportunities available with the company.

Job Description:

• Campus Security Officers primary role is campus safety and security. This includes frequent patrols, checking common areas where students congregate, and reporting issues in real time.
• Campus Security Officers assist with the functions of physical and personal security, and safety measures for students and faculty while maintaining a professional distance with the students.
• Campus Security Offers continuously patrol their assigned area at the campus, respond to student incidents, and communicate with the security team, school administration, and other relevant entities via radio.
• Other duties may include access control, crowd control, emergency response, pat down, and law, policy, and code enforcement.

Minimum Requirements:

• MINIMUM Five years experience working in a school, security, military, or law enforcement
• Valid Guard Card issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services
• SB1626 24 hour School Security Training highly preferred
• 40 hours of BSIS training courses highly preferred
• A GED or High School Diploma / Transcript & Associates Degree or some verifiable college (preferred)
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
• Have excellent ENGLISH verbal and written skills
• Be height / weight proportional and have a neat professional appearance
• Have access to reliable transportation and a track record of being ON-TIME to work
• A cell phone that receives text messages and has access to the internet as well as an email address
• Own a black business suit, white button down dress shirt, black tie, belt, socks, and dress shoes or shined boots, and a small flashlight

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for security and safety throughout the school, lavatories, outdoor spaces, and other assembly areas by conducting routine patrols while documenting and assessing corrective student actions as needed.
• Communicating with the security team and management, and campus administrators on a daily basis to ensure operational safety, and emergency response if needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of the site, the post orders and necessary regulations.

Availability, Pay & Perks:

• We are currently staffing Monday-Friday in Culver City, CA morning shift. Regular overtime opportunities available, but not guaranteed.
• Please note that you will be hired on as a regional employee, however feel free to express interest in one of the above available shifts when asked by the recruiter.
• Security Agents typically work as needed 12-50 hours a week throughout the county (including mandatory weekend nights) and are offered full time regular positions after probation.
• Unarmed school security officers pay ranges at $30-35/hr depending on experience, qualifications, and the assignment.
• Experienced Off Duty Officers, EP and Estate Agents are paid the industry standard
