JOB SUMMARY:
Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse, including administrative and clerical functions, to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment. Schedules employees and monitors employee activities and equipment use to meet and exceed company objectives. All applicants must be able and willing to work night shifts. Position requires hands on management -loading and unloading freight. All applicants must have a class A CDL with 18 months of verifiable driving experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plans, implements, and monitors the day-to-day operations for the warehouse department to ensure that established objectives for shipping, product rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness are met or exceeded.
- Monitors loading, dispatch, and receiving times and makes appropriate changes, ensuring compliance with client KPI’s and DOT regulations.
- Dispatch route drivers with corresponding paperwork and tools
- Routinely informs and communicates with employees to ensure compliance with established warehouse productivity, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Monitors and completes numerous computer-based and manual reports and related paperwork, including time records, daily logs, damage reports, etc.
- Monitors product damage and audits routes to ensure reliable product delivery.
- Plans and schedules manpower.
- Plans and coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance and utilization reports.
- Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary
- Occasional route coverage if there is a call out -extra pay when this happens
- Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers straight trucks
- Load and unload cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.

- Company computer systems
- Supervisory concepts and techniques
- Relevant regulatory procedures and standards (OSHA, USDA, AIB, HAACP, etc.)
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in route driving and delivery driving preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks, including tractor/trailer and straight trucks.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients.
