Job Title: Millwright
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join our manufacturing team. The Millwright will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role also includes performing general building maintenance tasks to ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and align manufacturing machinery, including conveyors, production lines, pumps, and other equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to reduce downtime and ensure machinery operates efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues, including replacing worn or defective parts.
- Align and calibrate machinery for optimal performance.
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment, such as cranes and forklifts, to move and position heavy machinery.
- Perform general building maintenance, including minor electrical repairs, plumbing fixes, and structural upkeep.
- Assist with HVAC maintenance and ensure the facility's heating, ventilation, and cooling systems are functioning properly.
- Conduct routine inspections of the building to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety and building codes while performing maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and electricians to address equipment needs and improve processes.
- Interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and manuals for proper installation and repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while working on equipment and in the manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification as a Millwright is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Millwright in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems, is a strong asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques is a plus.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy equipment and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing facility with exposure to loud machinery, moving parts, and varying temperatures.
- May involve overtime, shift work, and occasional weekend availability based on operational needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $36.00 per hour
