What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanding Operator position at AFCO Industries, Inc.?
AFCO Industries has been making quality products since 1946. We are currently hiring for positions within our AFCO Architectural Products facility located in Alexandria, LA. Responsibilities:
- Check and fill all pin holes and repair cracks.
- Sands columns and inspects for any imperfections.
- Will require operating a palm sander or sanding belt at all times.
- Works within the guidelines of the quality program.
- Insures good housekeeping in work area.
- Reports problems or accidents to management immediately.
- Gives proper consideration to safety on each job and abides by all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Performs related work as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to communicate using written and verbal skills. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Education: High School or GED
- Experience: On the job training
