About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in transitioning our IT operations from an outsourced provider to an in-house function. This is a hybrid-remote position, requiring on-site presence at our Asheville, NC warehouse location 4 days per week. The ideal candidate will be a generalist with a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to balance cost-effectiveness with good security practices.
This role will involve managing IT assets, end-user desktop support, deployment and maintenance of systems, network support, and configurations for e-mail and Google Workspace. Additionally, the IT Support Lead will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to our IT infrastructure while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Primary Objective of this role:The primary objective of this role is to facilitate the transition from our current outsourced IT provider to an in-house IT function. This includes taking ownership of IT systems, processes, and support, while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asset Management: Track, maintain, and optimize IT hardware and software assets.
- End-User Support: Provide timely and effective desktop support to resolve technical issues for employees.
- System Deployment & Maintenance: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and applications.
- Network Support: Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, ensuring reliability and security.
- E-mail & Google Workspace: Manage configurations, user accounts, and troubleshoot issues.
- Security: Implement and maintain security best practices to protect company data and systems.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline IT processes and improve efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
Additional Duties:
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance and security.
- Provide training and support to employees on IT systems and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance business operations.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Support and manage Telephony system
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of asset management, desktop support, network administration, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Google Workspace).
- Macintosh and Windows support
- Familiarity with security best practices and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to take initiative.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified Professional, Google Workspace Admin) are a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
