What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unarmed Security Officer position at AGB Investigative Services Inc?
An Unarmed Security Officer will conduct unarmed foot and vehicle patrol (interior and exterior). Additional duties include controlling access and egress; monitoring CCTV; composing detailed reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. They are following A.G.B.'s policies and procedures.
General Duties
- Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
- Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
- Sound alarms or calls to the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons
- Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
- Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitors entrances and exits
- Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that certified removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
- Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post orders
- Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Assists persons who need directions or general information
- Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. Some college preferred
- A valid driver's license
- United States Citizenship / Employment Authorization Compliant
- C.P.R. Certified
- Certified Customer Service Training
- Eighteen years of age at the time of application submission.
- Must maintain strict professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information.
- Must follow all A.G.B. policies and procedures.
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate in English (verbally and in writing).
- Highly accountable, reliable, and prompt, with a strong work ethic.
- Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Remain flexible to ever-changing environments; adapt well to different situations and shift work.
- Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard.

- Must handle the pressure of working with high volume general public (constantly to occasionally depending on assignment).
- It may require periods of walking throughout the facility.

- Stand or walk constantly (up to an entire shift) on surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet).
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
- Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
- Run as needed.
- Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, notepad, writing reports, and other administrative tasks.
- Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to the average level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, and view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination.
- Work in various environments, including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat.
- Constant mental alertness and attention to detail are required while setting priorities and following up on assignments.
