Escrow Assistant (Chicago, IL) 

Agility 360 is looking for Escrow Assistant for a 6-month contract role with our client. The Escrow Assistant is responsible for the disbursement of funds for current Escrow loans and delinquent Non-Escrow loans, as instructed by the Client.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Inquiry Tracking tasks assigned through the Fiserv system
• Escrow Priority E-mail when a previous e-mail has not been responded to or requires escalation
• Incoming Faxes research to determine loan number and resolve the fax
• Incoming Checks research to determine loan number and reason for the return or refund
• Incoming Mail research to determine loan number and process accordingly
• Tax Vendor exception reports review and makes corrections/edits to the Fiserv system to disburse funds on current tax bills
• Finalize Current Bill provided by Tax vendors and balance checks.
• Complete Edit/Balance in the Tax Vendor system
• Handle Manual exception created by our Tax Vendor due to a flag on the loan as reported by the Tax Agency (i.e.., delinquency, bankruptcy, sewer, etc.)
• Tax Sales notifications
• Approval from Client submit an e-mail to Client requesting approval to pay current and/or delinquent tax bills
• Tax Search process review Tax Search results for Clients that have opted for this service upon loan boarding.
• Escalate critical findings to Client and advise of status and options for resolution
• Updating tax information on the servicing system
• Phone Calls outgoing calls for procuring tax bill status or redemption information.
• Incoming calls escalated from Customer Care
• Expiration Report review and determine the reason for the exception and make correction/edits to the Fiserv system
• Documenting customer accounts
• Following up on assignments given to an employee by the supervisor
• Audit request and retrieval of tax-related documents in the servicing file
• Responsible for meeting legal requirements and following internal policies

Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Proficient with PC and related software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Property Tax knowledge
• Basic Accounting
• Strong Verbal Communication skills

Details:

• 6-month contract role
• Pay rate between $25-$28 per hour
• Remote
• Non-Exempt, OT Eligible
