Job Summary: The Director of Laboratory will lead, manage, and coordinate the activities within a laboratory environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. They will be responsible for overseeing staff, equipment, processes, and regulatory compliance, playing a critical role in achieving the laboratory's objectives and advancing scientific research and healthcare services.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain rigorous quality control and assurance programs to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Monitor and continuously improve laboratory processes and procedures.
Ensure the laboratory operates in full compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
Implement and enforce best practices for data integrity and security.
Encourage and support research initiatives and collaborations within the laboratory.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in the field and adapt laboratory practices accordingly.
Prepare and present reports to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
Maintain accurate and organized records of laboratory activities, experiments, and results
Experience
Extensive experience in laboratory management, with a strong track record of leadership.
In-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and research methodologies.
Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, or ISO).
