What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Health Specialist position at Aimic Inc?
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate regularly with the Regional Supervisor to report on the needs and successes of LHDs.
- Participate in IDOH DEP meetings and district coalition meetings.
- Identify and communicate planning, training, and exercise support needs.
- Provide guidance and answer inquiries related to IDOH preparedness efforts.
- Assist with tracking grant deliverables and reporting.
- Help coordinate Medical Countermeasure (MCM) Operational Readiness Reviews.
- Submit bi-weekly summary reports on meetings and activities.
Expectations:
- Maintain familiarity with IDOH DEP policies and effectively communicate them to local partners.
- Report meeting outcomes within two business days.
- Notify supervisors if additional training or clarification is needed.
- Ensure local partners understand technical preparedness and response strategies.
- Stay updated on relevant guidance from CDC, ASPR, and ISDH.
Required Skills:
- Experience in emergency preparedness, public health, or public safety.
- Experience facilitating meetings and managing communications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Experience with grant management is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent public health/public safety experience.
