Job Summary:

With continued business growth and expanding business initiatives, AirClean Systems, has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Purchasing Manager.  Established in 1992, AirClean Systems is the largest North American manufacturer of laboratory safety equipment and forensic containment solutions. We are an international company with divisions in the US and Australia, as well as distributors worldwide. AirClean Systems products are used by major pharmaceutical companies, petroleum companies, federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, schools, colleges, universities, and medical institutions worldwide. Many of our products can even be seen in popular television dramas and movies.

The Purchasing Manager is a critical member in the overall success of the organization. The role ensures both internal and external customer satisfaction by maintaining inventory levels to meet market demands.  The Purchase Manager is responsible for aiding in and overseeing aspects of shipping/receiving and warehouse operations as it pertains to inventory integrity, order fulfillment and movement the movement of goods.

 Essential Functions:  

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

• Leads operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of inventory items, and keeps warehouse inventory counts accurate.
• Ensures the physical condition of warehouse and equipment are properly maintained.
• Ensures work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment are submitted to the appropriate persons for approval.
• Collaborates with Sales, Service and Customer Service departments to ensure successful coordination with warehouse activities.
• Monitors and ensures facility key performance indicators (KPI) are met in a timely and cost effective manner to ensure the profitability and productivity of all shipments.
• Ensures adequate staffing, training, coaching and development for employees, including staffing and training of workers.

 Educational requirements:

Experience level: 

• Five (5) years work related experience
• Working knowledge and experience with quality system regulations and guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to gather and organize complex information from several sources and compose material for presentation
• Strong verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills; effective written and graphical skills.
• High level of computer proficiency including MS Office Suite, proficient with work processing, spreadsheet, and (ERP) business systems applications.
• Strategic thinking, analytical and creative skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of math and statistics
• Experience with warehouse management systems.
   
  

Terms of employment:

This is a full-time, salaried position.  Employment is at will.  

Hours:

The general hours shall be 8:00am to 6:00pm with an hour for lunch.

Work Environment:

Work is regularly performed in office and warehouse environments.

Physical Demands:  

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit.   The employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk.  The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 80 pounds.  

 Travel:

Minimal travel may be required.
