An Accounts Payable Specialist with AHP works with vendors and internal departments to ensure payments are processed on time and with accuracy. The detail-oriented professional will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
- Answer accounts payable inquiries via phone or email and follows up in a timely manner.
- Enter vendor invoices into the corporate ERP System (P21) to be processed for payment.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Set up expense vendors in the corporate ERP System (P21).
- Bill customers for drop-shipments from vendors.
- Balance credit card statements.
- Enter company expenses into P21 and Microsoft Excel.
- Process freight bills.
- Enter vendor rebates into P21, Microsoft Excel, and various vendor websites.
- Schedule and print accounts payable checks.
- Assist with the annual financial statement or other audit documentation.
- Serve as backup for receptionist, as needed.
- Assist with related special projects as required.
Requirements
- Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred, but not required.
- Computer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn an ERP system.
- Mathematical Skills- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
