Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Read and follow blueprints, shop orders, specifications, and other instructions
- Measure parts accurately using scales, micrometers, and calipers
- Operate overhead crane and fork trucks while moving or assembling product
- Perform simple to moderately complex welding operations and plasma cutting
- Prepare parts for painting
- Keep work area clean
- Travel when needed
Requirements
- Travel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and to make metric system conversions
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and manufacturing instructions
- Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and machine tools such as drill press, band saw, cut-off saw, and grinder
- Basic knowledge of carpentry and pneumatics a plus
- Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work in high output environment
- Ability to work independently or in team environments
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
Protective Clothing and Physical Demands
- The incumbent will utilize safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, safety shoes while performing the functions of this position
- While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, reach above shoulders, and use foot/feet for operation
