AIRES is a stable, social service agency that has been operating in Arizona area since 1978. We are looking for a person who shares our commitment to provide services with respect, compassion, and excellence. AIRES has an entry level management position in Lakeside, Arizona supporting and serving developmentally disabled individuals.
The Manager oversees a program that provides developmental, educational and vocational activities for developmentally disabled adults. AIRES Day Programs are busy, exciting places. The people attending are actively engaged in all kinds of activities.
Hours are M-F and some on call weekends. You will be part of team providing services to people in the White Mountains.

Responsibilities of the Day Program Manager (Our title is Program Manager)
- Supervise a team of direct support professionals.
- Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, work with those we support as they learn new skills, and achieve goals.
- Provide life skills training in areas such as activities of daily living and relationship-building.
- Report any concerns about health and safety and keeping documentation accurate and up-to-date.
- Support, Assist and Teach individuals with developmental disabilities daily living skills (may include preparing snacks or meals, activities of daily living, or a number of other skills including use of leisure time and community involvement)
- Caregiver
- Develop a relationship with the individual(s) you are caring for and help support them
Requirements of the Day Program Manager
- Must be 21 years or older
- Minimum high school diploma
- Qualify as a driver for the company (valid driver's license required)
- Complete all required training (provided by the company)
- Pass background checks
- Good physical stamina and the ability to safely stand, pivot, and move up to 40 pounds in order to transfer people are required
- Basic computer proficiency
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to establish rapport with staff members and the individuals we support
- Strong organizational abilities
