Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. Duties
- Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Utilize POS systems for order processing and payment handling.
- Assist customers in selecting menu items, providing recommendations, and upselling when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and food service equipment.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain food safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service or customer service role is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating cash registers.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and sales techniques.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
